Since my last communication we have played two matches, both ending up as convincing victories.

The first fixture saw our band of merry men travel to Rushmore on the border of Dorset & Wiltshire in the first round of the Beckford Bowl. A hidden gem set in the grounds of a grand old manor house – well worth a visit if you fancy an away day. The opposition were missing a number of players so the 11-1 win away from home was somewhat flattering for us.

This weekend we hosted Ryde in the first round of the Annodata (formerly Daily Mail) matchplay knockout. We came out on top 3.5 vs 1.5 with wins for Paul Kille, Robbie L-L & Jamie Markwick. Special mention to Eathan Rooke who eagled the 18th to half his match!

Great work team – onwards and upwards in both competitions. Next up in the Beckford is a home match against either Royal Winchester or Hayling and we await the draw for the Annodata.
