Having been in the role of General Manager here for the last 18 months, I have decided to return to my previous role as Director of Golf. Having been a golf professional the majority of my working life my passion has always been and remains, playing and growing the game of golf, it is something I have continually missed during my tenure.
Roger Tomey General Manager at Paultons who for the last few months has been acting in an RGM capacity overseeing South Winchester and Wickham Park will base himself here as the General Manager whilst continuing to oversee Paultons and Wickham Park.
To facilitate the above move, Joanne Tomey currently the Events Manager will be moving across to Paultons to cover as Interim General Manager. Joanne has had an extremely successful spell in her time at South Winchester whilst supporting me with the day to day operations of the club. In her absence, I will be the point of contact for all Member lead events and Matches.
I am delighted to announce that Candice Hall has accepted the position of Clubhouse Manager. Candice comes here from the Royal Golf Club of Bahrain as their Food and Beverage Manager and will be working alongside Alex to deliver excellent events with great customer service and standards we expect here at South Winchester.
South Winchester is very close to my heart and I intend to continue to serve the Club the best way I can to drive the Club forward.
The intention is for this to be in place by the 3rd June.
