Not even the threat of Storm Hannah could deter 80 hardy souls who faced the course on a blustery St Georges Day Cup. Conditions were testing both physically and mentally with some forgetting the “alternate tee” rule …..easily done…it wasn’t as if there were red & white flags everywhere to remind people.

Two stood out from the crowd winning by an impressive 6 shots ……. Stevie McCallum and Peter Earwaker proved to be the dominant, windproof pair congratulations Gentlemen!

The day was followed by the traditional dinner and raffle of the reserved car-parking spots and a fun Casino to end the evening. The meal was well attended a proved yet another great social event enjoyed by all, the food prepared by Head Chef Alex was beautifully presented and certainly delicious ! The bar staff led by superstar Mo looked after us all wonderfully and helped the evening flow.

Car parking spots were won by Stevie Mac with No 20 (he had a good day!) and Rowena Persaud with No 59.

However the biggest winner of the day was the Captains Charity “ Rainbow Centre” with over £1200 raised – thank you to Everyone who helped make the magic happen, not least ……Mr Neilson and his ever inventive fundraising endeavours !!
