Sunday saw the first “Board” Competition since lockdown; the rescheduled Easter Cup and Anniversary Scratch Cup. A good field of over 80 was faced with mixed weather conditions with the later starters just getting the better of it.
With the bunkers back in play, scores were steady with only three nett totals better than par. For a long while, the leader in the Clubhouse was Sue Gibbs with a nett 71 just ahead of Mark Neilson on countback but, coming in with the penultimate group, Paul Neilson shot an impressive nett (and in his case gross) 70 to snatch the win and thus claim both the Easter Cup and the Anniversary Scratch Cup.
