The 2018 Gazunder Trophy took place Friday 26th October in the annual “pride” match between the members, Captained by Steve McCallum and the staff lead by General Manager, Richard Adams.
The format was 5 betterball matches over 18 holes on the yellow course.
The member’s raced into a 3-0 lead from the first three matches and those early in were fully engaged in the banter, hoping for a whitewash. However the staff won the 4th match on the 18th 1 up and then had their best result in the 5th match with a 3&2 victory, leaving the final score a 3-2 victory to the members to regain the pot and avenge the 2017 loss.
Shot of the day goes to David Cheyne with an eagle on 10, kind of harsh having holed out to force his opposition to hunt for the ball for a few minutes, but effective match play gamesmanship none the less.
