As the first match teed off on Saturday in sunshine and a light breeze, there were no real indications of the weather to come….not even from the BBC !
The early starters may have enjoyed the best of the conditions for a while but unfortunately not for long. Those who played battled the elements valiantly – albeit some more valiantly than others with a few halves understandably being agreed at various intervals throughout the day.
Hats off to those who stuck with it and dealt with the wind, the rain and even the hail and congratulations to Norfolk n’Good who won the day and move up to second spot in the table – just two points behind the Hackers who retain the top spot.
Second place went to the Reliants to move up the table and into a tight group of six teams sitting behind the top two, separated by just 9 points.
Winners: Norfolk n’Good: Each Receive £18 Voucher: Richard Bligh , Steve Doyle, Ross King, Rowena Persaud, Oliver Burrow & Peter O’Donnell
Runners-Up: Reliants: Each Receive £12 Voucher: Karen Sprunt, Robin Gow, Tim McGeown, Alan Bailey, Rob Atton & Jeremy Wheeler

Finally, A special mention for the Eagles who recorded their first win of the season and moved off the bottom spot. The honour of being the strongest team in the league, supporting all of the others, now falls to the Fleetwood Macs.
Next match is scheduled for November 25th and will be the last fixture of 2018 prior to the end of year break – no doubt everyone will be booking their winter golf training camps in sunnier climes to keep their games in top shape.
Until the next time…
