Congratulations to Sue Gibbs for her 2nd Hole in one in a month! talk about prolific…
Please keep an eye out up for the fantastic ‘Captains Dinner’ on the 9th November – details to follow & on the notice board, but fantastic food and dubious dancing have been rumoured!
The blue lines appearing around the course are outlining the areas where we will be growing the definition of the course and edging the rough inwards. These areas will define the holes and give a much improved visual appearance hole by hole. The intention is to weed spray so that the dense weeds don’t take hold and thus finding your ball will be much easier and not overtly penal, thus not affecting the speed of play.
By doing this we will also be able to increase the time the Green keepers spend on the finessing of the course and the attention to detail.
The ‘Parker Cup’ has been moved from the 2nd to 3rd November as clashed with other events for those involved.
The birds of Prey have been doing their job very well and the numbers of Crown Rooks has been hugely diminished on the course and damage kept to a minimum.
As always please come and see me if you have any comments or ideas and thanks to all those who are doing so.
Happy Golfing
Roger & Team
