Thank you to all those who are now signing in prior to your rounds, this is helping us understand usage and ensuring the right access is maximised for our members. Please remember that you are not insured if you do not. They team are very friendly so come and say hello.
Thank you for those who alerted me to the early crow damage on the 15th blue tee – we will start putting in scarecrows and utilising the Cannon sooner than expected to try to counter the avian pests, luckily not much damage ensued but if we can minimise it we will.
Please may I remind all golfers that should one of your group feel unwell the first point of call should be to the emergency services and then to the Pro shop. Jenny’s Jalopy (Golf Buggy) was kindly donated to us and we are currently repairing it so that it can be used as a utility vehicle should anyone require assistance in the event the buggies and green keeping vehicles are not available.
Please let me assure you that as a General Manager who has raised money to buy an AED for 2 golf clubs, successfully used one and given a member CPR, not only do I take members health very seriously but so do all of the team here at SWGC.
We have a Staff first aid course on the 16th August 9am -4pm with 3 spare places, any member wishing to join the team on this day can do so for a reduced fee of £40pp
Thank you for your patience during Course Maintenance week, I’m sure we will all reap the benefits in the coming months. We may try and do this again later in the year so that further work can be done on the tees for the new season, and will communicate dates well in advance.
