Reminder: Presentation Night & AGM Friday 22nd November 7pm prompt.. come along and celebrate with the winners of 2019 and welcome in the Club Captain, Junior Captain and elected Officers for 2020
On Saturday 9th November 100 members of SWGC enjoyed a fantastic evening celebrating with Peter and Lindsay the end of their tenures’ as Captains of this great club.
There was plenty to eat and drink, a raffle and a quiz to stimulate the mind, and music for those dancers amongst the attendees .. as well an auction wonderfully hosted by Mr Paul Fenner although he would have found it easier herding cats than controlling two rooms of bidders, he’s made of stern stuff and coped admirably raising a fantastic sum for the charity; Rainbow Centre, Fareham.
This blog is all about THANK YOUS – the generosity of all the members at SWGC has raised £11,000 for our chosen charity, £5,000 of which came for Saturday night alone. We simply can’t thank EVERYONE enough for your efforts throughout the year. It is just not possible without the help of so many people, freely given.
However we would like to extend our sincere and heartfelt thanks to the following for making Saturday in particular such a success …
Roger our GM for attending, serving drinks, food and so much more, just ensuring the evening went smoothly
Paul our new Food & Beverage Manager, only 5 days in and baptism of fire ! Handled with aplomb ! Big thank you to him and all his team for their attentiveness all evening.
Alex Head Chef and Adam … really delicious food served bang on time !
To everyone who contributed to the Raffle and Auction, as previously mentioned we raised over £ 5000 on the night – incredible !
