Dear members, The Autumn Vases was played on 1 Sept, with 47 of the lowest handicapped members competing over 36 holes. The competition was competitive till the end with the Gross Prize going to Paul Neilson (141) and Nett Prize going to Nick Tout on countback (144). Other prizes went to 2nd Gross – Jamie Markwick (142), 3rd Gross – Ali Cheyne (150), 2nd Nett – Ross King (144) and 3rd Nett – Josh Bassett (145).
The South Winchester Cup played on 22 Sept with 32 pairs contesting. Congratulations go to pairing of Ben Crowther and Ronnaug Sandbrook on taking the Trophy with a stableford score of 41 points. Other places went to on countback with 36 points, 2nd Harvey Denham & Harrison Price, 3rd Paul Solloway & Alan Sands, 4th Nick Tout & Richard Bligh. Final place went to Kevan Walsh & Steve Lyons on 35 points.
Special congratulations to Simon Gardner with a hole in one on the 11th in the SW Cup.
Please remember that if you have qualified for this years Ivanhoe Trophy (SWGC Champion of Champion event on Sun 21.10.18) there is a board notice that you need to tick to confirm that you want to play which will close 5.10.18.
