At South Winchester Golf Club, we are passionate about getting juniors involved in golf. Ages 4-15 of any ability are welcome at our Junior Academy, which aims to get young golfers out playing confidently on the course as part of the Golf Foundation programme.
Children work through colour coded levels as they improve their skills, working towards getting out on the course as soon as possible. These clubs run in school term time and are split by age groups to ensure every young golfer gets the most out of their coaching time.
” A kid grows up a lot faster on the golf course. Golf teaches you how to behave.” – Jack Nicklaus
All junior ages are welcome at our holiday camps, which run during school holidays, with both full day and half day options for every ability level. Children are assisted in developing their skills, then put them into practice on the course, getting a better idea of what it would be like to practice golf in a professional capacity.
For golfers who have less experience, this half day camp is centred around learning foundational skills through games from 9am to 12pm.
For children who are a bit more experienced, and want to improve their skills so they can move up towards playing rounds on the course. This is a full day camp, starting at 9am and finishing at 4pm.
